Improve offer–market fit before polishing the pitch

Use the audience, problem and promised change to make an offer easier to understand.

When a message is not resonating, more persuasive wording may not fix the underlying issue. First check whether the offer addresses a problem the intended audience recognizes and whether its value is clear.

Name one audience

An offer aimed at everyone tends to feel relevant to no one. Choose a specific group and state what makes its situation distinct.

Describe a concrete change

Explain what becomes easier, faster or more reliable after someone uses the offer. Keep the description within what you can substantiate and deliver.

Make the next step proportional

A small, clear next step is easier to evaluate than an immediate commitment. Tell people what will happen if they respond, and honor that expectation.

Learn from real conversations

Use questions and feedback from genuine conversations to refine the offer. Do not turn anecdotal feedback into a result claim without evidence.
